Final Futsal Update
What a
great 3rd Futsal season for us. With over 120 kids
participating, we certainly kept Safari Island hopping each Sunday!
Congratulations to our division champs and I hope everyone
saw the value in what we did. I have no doubt that each
participant left the season with improved technical skills and ball
control from where they started. Best of luck in your summer
seasons and I hope to see everyone back out for Futsal again next
winter. Check back regularly and be sure to watch for registration to open back up in October.
As always, please send feedback this way (positive or negative).
Your feedback is critical to make sure we continue to offer a relavent and valuable experience for all the players. Thanks again, and stay in touch.

Far Post Soccer
and Waconia Soccer Club's Work Together
Far Post Soccer
Club and Waconia Soccer Club are happy to share that we've developed a
common solution to provide notable improvements for competitive soccer
environment for Waconia.
Waconia Soccer Club have committed to the following:
- Begining future soccer years in August
- Offering Fall MYSA Soccer for U9/10/11/12 (possibly 13)
- Utilizing the same referee assignor and mentorship program that FPS
was pursuing
- Promoting and providing financial supports for coach licensing and
development
- Develop and leverage a Field Committee and others as necessary
- Publish an annual MYSA soccer budget for Waconia
- Holding an Annual General Meeting for parents, players, coaches and
referees
FPS have committed to the following:
- Not taking registration for Spring/Summer 2012 MYSA soccer
- Not offering MYSA soccer for Fall 2012
- Championing and supporting Waconia Soccer Club
- Improving and continuing Futsal/Indoor Soccer opportunities for
Waconia
Areas that we'll continue to improve focus on include:
- Developing a player development approach and plan that works for
Waconia Soccer Club
- Refocusing key points for Risk Management in a way that works for
Waconia Soccer Club
Over the past months, passion and engagement around the competitive
soccer landscape for Waconia has been at a high. This is good
in that support and desire for continuous improvement and providing
what's best for the kids participating in competitive soccer are in
focus. This is also dangerous in that there are strong opinions and
positions on a number of topics which can cause divisiveness and issues
during a separation of clubs.
We firmly believe this solution is in the best interest for the
competitve soccer players of Waconia as it:
1) Avoids a painful split which will no doubt have negative impact for
some players and teams
2) Provides significant changes and improvements for the current club
Thank you for your support over the past months and we are looking
forward to working together in an effective and value adding way for
the kids in Waconia.
Yours in Soccer,
Mike Bruggeman (President FPS)
Tiffany Nelson (Directory Community Ed)
